Hey! It's your lucky day Step this way, come and watch us play What's that sound? Come from miles around The Circus has come to town So you've come to see the glamour of the greatest show of all As we scrape our living down here in the dust With your bellies full and empty heads, laughing as you go Are you watching the freaks? Or just part of the show Hey! It's your lucky day Step this way, come and watch us play What's that sound? Come from miles around The Circus has come to town Consider if you will, the effort and the skill This should be my finest hour, but the master has the power The strong man is strong and the clown is a hoot But we all jump to the tune of the ringmaster's boot So you see me do my magic tricks, you cannot comprehend Yet I sleep with the beasts and I'm kicked by the men See them cheer him, so adoring and proud But are the clowns in the ring, or sat in the crowd? Hey! It's your lucky day Step this way, come and watch us play What's that sound? Come from miles around The Circus has come to town But have you seen the one? They call her Queen Of The Night As she dances all alone, her body melting in the light A man would die for just one kiss, but the master holds the key Just like the wild beasts she is his, she'll never never be free Behold! Come and feast your eyes See what my queen has in store And not a sound can be heard, she holds them all in her stare The beasts obey her every word from this creature so rare Behold! Come and feast your eyes See what my queen has in store Don't you want her? Want to hold her close The queen of your night, forever more But she's mine She's mine And when the curtain falls she waits all alone Til he comes back in the small hours to make her all his own She's the queen of his night, so sickening and obscene While he stinks of drink and whores and hell, she can smell just where he's been "King of the beasts!" he tells her as he beats her once again And she knows that there's no fouler beast and she vows through her pain that one day ... "One day. One day."

Can you hear me? (x3) Searching for healing, finding more pain The truth is too hard when it calls her name Searching through my dreams Reoccurring themes Out on the rat race the every day grind Leaving her body and losing her mind Searching through my dreams, Can you hear me? Reoccurring themes Who knows where souls go when they're left behind (When the soul is left behind) Nothing but darkness, no joy to find (There's no joy or hope to find) "Some day you'll be here." she tells herself As her life disappears ... with a tear Voices cut in to her mind Every day, they're cutting and cutting Aimless and alien, meaningless noise They're screaming and screaming Out there her soul circles the moon Seeking her lover, but finding nothing The sound of the pipe with his treacherous tune Calling and calling Calling her on, stars will light the way Giving up hope for her old life Every day, she's sinking and sinking Turning to those with death in their minds She's tired of thinking She knows the way to cure her pain Drowning her mind, drowning drowning Seeking to join him in their own space Floating floating Calling her on, stars will light the way Calling her on, stars will light the way Who knows which way the soul will go Yet she plans the journey Heaven takes many forms Which one is right? Which one is healthy? She feels the yearning only true escapers know As she cuts the cord to this earthly hell She rises as she falls And then, one moment of clarity and sanity She's found her way "I will join you. I'll see stars tonight. We will see stars." Spinning through space Seeking her joy She'll find her way tonight He calls her name Stars light her way tonight She'll find her way Calling her on, stars will light the way tonight Calling her on, stars will light her way Can you hear me?

Here we are in this green and pleasant land This land we love, the place we called our own This brand new taste we still don't understand The bitter harvest from the seeds we've sown Men feel like strangers here on our own streets Things changed so fast they never saw the signs The ground was taken from beneath their feet Time moved on and they were left behind Do we stand for our clan? What does it mean to be an English man? Do we stil have something left to say? People get lost inside their virtual lives In 5.1 high definition screens While others give their all just to survive Your avatar forgot what living means Invaders cross our shores by our own leave Our name, our culture slipping from our grasp For no good reason that we can conceive Or are we all just living in the past Too much lost, who to trust Do we even know if our cause is just? Somewhere our Jerusalem got blown away Somewhere yesterday We plundered fields and dug up all the coal We never knew there was a better way Then we unleashed what we could not control Then sent it riding on Enola Gay And so we give thanks for the soldier boy The one who never grew to be a man He wears the crown who has the biggest toy Two-hundred-thousand burning in Japan And all of this in the name of our so called freedom Our every move and thought tracked by cameras in the sky The last of an ancient line, falling down the mountain side Lessons from another time that no longer apply Savage peril dwelled in the camp of saints How did it ever get this far Nineteen eighty-four came and went, now all that's left is The city and the stars Savage peril dwelled within the camp of saints How did we let it get this far Nineteen eighty-four came and went, now all that's left is The city and the stars, the city and the stars The stars on the TV show Famous faces you don't know Tell you how to think and who to be The prophets made their sad prediction But the truth was there behind the fiction Right before our eyes, but nobody wanted to see Stars on the TV screen Paint a picture so obscene Reality, or so its called So many flies on one big wall The music played, the credits rolled And we all did what we were told The virus that we couldn't beat They made us obsolete Savage peril dwelled in the camp of saints How did it ever get this far Nineteen eighty-four came and went, now all that's left is The city and the stars Savage peril dwelled within the camp of saints How did we let it get this far Nineteen eighty-four came and went, now all that's left is The city and the stars, the city and the stars Nineteen eighty-four came and went, now all that's left is The city, the city and the stars

Far from the lights of home they sailed Sailed for glory, death or glory A chance to redeem what had gone before Change the story Out they went in to that endless white night Tired and frozen, scared and frozen And many a sailor heard the call of death And many were chosen Will we ever see such bravery and loyalty far beyond men Facing the enemy through his frailty Went Captain Vallery A hundred endless nights and so many sites no one should have to see Fear can kill a man, yet still they stand For Captain Vallery Minus sixty degrees, still it doesn't freeze, blindly they push on Into the gathering storm and the wild dawn Oh Captain Vallery A kind of burning cold gets in to your soul, strips you down to the bone On through the flying ice and more sacrifice Oh Captain Vallery Captain Vallery So far, so hard, then over again Lifting their spirits, a god among men They gave their all for the lights of home Swirling fog claws at his throat As he stares out to sea Every day his burden grows Oh Captain Vallery Breathing orders, breathing blood The fever burns his lungs Not much longer now he knows Dancing through shells and fire as the flames grew higher, pitching and tossing she went Over the peak and then plunging down again Went Captain Vallery Torpedos hit the deck of the sinking wreck, a column of flame hit the sky Onwards he urged the crew, what else could he do Oh Captain Vallery Captain Vallery So tired and weary, yet he spurred them on Like those Clydebuilt rivets his will was so strong Each day they prayed for the lights of home Steering through the fiery water The smell of burning corpses No time to help survivors The convoy must be saved As the ship ploughed on towards them We wept to see their burning faces Change from hope to horror as we mowed them down All the times we tried to tell them But how could they ever know Tell me what man could endure this? They've all gone now As I stand without answers As my comrades drift away Bodies under the union flag They've all gone now So I played judge and jury To those broken drowning men I must soon share their sentence Flesh is weak Sitting here in the captain's chair In command right to the last Of the best crew I ever had But I've let you down The die is cast On into the fray, no other way, orders must be obeyed For the bravery and the memory Of Captain Vallery Against helpless odds in the lap of the gods, still they thundered on Bombs and wreckage fell on that floating hell Oh Captain Vallery Condors filled the sky, nothing left to try, enemy ship dead ahead and no help came through for that loyal crew Of Captain Vallery This was why they came, just to die in flame, the bait in a terrible trap Their very souls they gave, no one was saved Oh Captain Vallery Captain Vallery So far, so hard, then over again Lifting their spirits, a god among men They gave their all for the lights of home So much from so many, for nothing but death Each one determined to his very last breath "We'll take some down with us! For the lights of home!" The lights of home

Take me where the river goes To a place, of my thoughts Where the river goes I'll go where the ebb and flow Meets the waves, take me whole With the ebb and flow - flows. Wash with hope this flesh and bone Where the loveless, are the star blessed In a sunset for a new world Do we know love, Secretly wondering whether we know love I'll go where the river goes Rain or shine, spring or fall Where the river goes - oh. Fill this truly hollow soul Where the loveless, are the star blessed In a sunset for a new world If there is hope, lead the way I may go, if there is hope - hope Wash with hope this flesh and bone Where the loveless, are the star blessed In a sunset for a new world, yeh Sunset for a new world In a sunset for A new world Feel this hollow soul In a sunset for a new world In a sunset for a new world Sunset for a new world

Almost Over 11:04
Seeing nothing, hearing nothing All you knew and treasured slipped away Closing darkness fills your mind You've lost the will to fight, the will to stay Are you somewhere? Anywhere at all? You don't remember, you don't recall Heavy heart, heavy soul The curtain falls obscuring all but doubt Monsters lurk in the dark As night falls you can't stop them coming out Are you someone? Anyone at all? Something seems to call you as you fall Going down, you can't stop going down Almost helpless, almost hopeless Bring it back, can you bring it back? You're almost under, almost over On the edge, it's on the edge But just beyond your sight and out of reach Feel the numbness, paralysis sets in Its there in your thoughts and in your speech Were you someone? Anyone will do And can you find the way back, back to you? Going down, you can't stop going down Almost helpless, almost hopeless Bring it back, can you bring it back? You're almost under, almost over Find a way to shake it loose While you still can see the truth You're the voice inside your head Call yourself back from the edge of the world Come home See the ray of light in a sky of black thunder Don't go over, don't go under

And when the curtain falls she waits all alone Till he comes back in the small hours to make her all his own "King of the beasts!" he tells her as he beats her once again And she knows that there's no fouler beast and she vows through her pain that one day One day ... one day Then at last one day, one day hope came along She found a new love, a new love he'd never do her wrong He was a strong man, a strong man, travelled with the show And one night they held on, they held on like they'd never let go But while the master's in command They have to hide all the love they have to give And so the strong man decided he shouldn't be allowed to live For all the times he beat her till she cried For all the times he left her broken deep inside There are many ways to kill a man All they needed was the perfect crime And a strong ... a strong pair of hands Accidents might happen in a circus full of beasts And for a certain hungry lion he would make the king of feasts Then no more living in shame With a lion to take the blame He made the weapon to show where the lion's paw had been It would make a big impression if you see what I mean She would walk with her master late at night, to feed the beast in his cage Where a strong man would be waiting to frame a lion and his rage Springing from the shadows, the strong man dealt the fatal blow But the cage was swinging open, his timing much too slow Smelling blood and treachery the lion turned upon his queen And the so called strong man turned and ran from the blood and roars and screams As she called his name And the last thing she felt was the teeth meet in her face A weak man, a weak man left her for dead in the dust His true love, his true love died with her beauty and turned to disgust They saved her life and she lived to tell the tale But it's no kind of life that she leads now, All alone in her room, never lifting her veil And the strong man, he never came near He couldn't love what was left, couldn't live with the fear Now she's queen of her permanent night On her own little stage with it's dim little spotlight Show goes on, though the crowds have all gone The night goes on, same old song Somehow she finds the strength The strength to get through each day And she bitterly laughs at the weakness of men The men who made her this way Men who treasured her beauty so rare Never seeing the soul or the love that was there She curses the strong man she thought was so brave And the life that she wishes had never been saved Show goes on, though the crowds have all gone The night wears on, same old song Show goes on, though the crowds have all gone The night goes on, same old song.
